The cat is out of the bag. In conjunction with the Supreme Council’s 200^th Anniversary program, we are offering candidates to join the Valley of Toledo for $50. Our goal is 200 new candidates for the 200^th Anniversary. Print off a petition from this website or call the office for a copy (or more)! What a great deal and it won’t last long. We are joining with the Valley of Detroit on April 28^th for a combined reunion. There will be bus transportation to Dearborn for $10, again it includes lunch. This also promises to be a great day!

4 Valley Reunion

875! What a wonderful day in Dayton Masonic Temple last weekend. There were 875 registered Scottish Rite Masons at this reunion. When was the last time you attended such a spectacle of Masons all at one setting. Everything went very smooth and the degree work was phenomenal. Now let’s imitate this day at the Valley of Detroit this April. Watch for your Tidings and The Masonic Bulletin for more information.

Over 800 are now signed up for the Dayton Reunion this weekend. Today is the absolute last day for signing up to go. We will be traveling by vans from the Scottish Rite office. VANS ARE LEAVING PROMPTLY AT 7:00A.M. Donuts and coffee will be available at 6:30. Call Pam now and make your reservation. I will warn you that parking will be a premium. There are only 240 parking spots available. Get there early!

Ill. Brother Jim Williamson (Dayton) has informed me that there are over 500 reservations for the February 18^th Reunion in Dayton, Ohio. We have 40 going from Toledo. If you are interested, I need to know by Friday. Please call me ASAP if you are interested in going. If you are driving separate, please call the Toledo office and make a reservation for lunch. It is a $5 charge and we will send one big check for the lunches. Jackets and ties are appropriate. Officers and 33rds wear your caps.

Dayton Reunion

There are over 300 reservations for the 4 Valley Reunion in Dayton on the 18^th. They are expecting over 500. You don’t want to miss this. We will transport you down there for only $10 (which includes lunch). It appears that I may be stopping in Findlay and Wapakoneta to pick up members. Did any of you happen to click on that little icon at the very bottom left corner of the website? It shows what parts of the world the people have been looking at our website in the last 30 days. There were people from Australia, Japan, Russia, etc. I had a remark from Tokyo saying that they liked our website. I just thought it was interesting.

This month’s Masonic Bulletin states that there is a charge for the upcoming Maundy Service in April. I can assure you that there is not a charge, nor will there ever be a charge for this wonderful program for the community. I do apologize for the misprint and will make sure that it is corrected in the next issue.

Dayton Reunion Update

There are now 28 members signed up for the 4 Valleys reunion being held in Dayton on Feb. 18. Toledo, Columbus, Dayton and Cleveland are all putting on at least one degree. We will be transporting all those interested for only $10 and it includes lunch. There will be tours of the Dayton Temple available throughout the day. The tours are worth the expense alone. Come join us for a wonderful day. If you are planning to drive separate, please call the office so that we can make a lunch reservation for you. The lunches are $5 for those who drive themselves. DEADLINE is FEB 12. Absolutely no reservations after the 12^th.

Here is an update for the February 18^th reunion. Vans will leave from the Toledo Scottish Rite office promptly at 7:00am. The cost is only $10 which includes lunch. You should have all gotten your new Tidings this week. If not it is right here on the front page to examine. I have gotten a lot of calls about how we could leave Toledo at 7:00am and be in Dayton by start of degrees at 8:00am. I didn’t have any intention of making it on time for the 4^th degree. Originally it was not planned. Also I didn’t want you to have to get out of bed at 5:00am in order to be there by 8:00am. That would make a very long and tiresome day. Call me if you have any more questions.

Hey all you Minnesota Fats wanna be! There is a pool tournament and lunch just added to the calendar for those who want to do something a little different during the day. Trust me when I say you don’t have to be a pool shark to enter. The “Scottish Rite House Rules” makes it even for all players. Please call the office and let them know that you are coming so that we have enough food.

A big thanks to all of you for a wonderful Reunion yesterday. We brought in 21 new Scottish Rite Masons in fine fashion. You should all be proud.

I just want everyone to know that the Stage Director, Jon Parton, MSA is retiring from that position as of yesterday. Jon has devoted 41 years to helping out with the reunions and I am sure he has seen it all. Jon is a legend here in Toledo and I would like you all to send him a congratulatory and thank you for all that he has done.

There is a meeting for the trustees this Saturday to discuss the future of a new location for the Valley of Toledo’s office and Dyslexia Center. There are a number of facilities that are on the list that have been looked at. If you have an idea of a facility that might work for our Valley, please call me at the office and we can discuss what we are thinking we might work for our needs.
