Lights at the Zoo

Our annual Lights at the Zoo family night is coming up on Dec. 6.  The hours are 5:00pm-10:00pm. BUFFET DINNER IS 6:00PM-7:30PM.  $15 Adults / $10 Children includes parking, pizza buffet and enjoying over 1 million Christmas Lights.  RESERVATIONS BEFORE NOVEMBER 22^ND.

 

Reunion

Only 4 more days before the Fall Reunion.  I have sent in my final count for lunch reservations.  I only ordered 10 extra.  If you want to make sure that you have a lunch for the please contact the office my e-mail or phone call now!  The weather looks like it is going to cooperate.  Watch for the signs to help you find the farm as you get close to Delphos.

 

 

Reunion

Gentleman, we are about a week away from the reunion in Delphos.  Cross your fingers, the weather looks good.  Remember, we are out in the middle of nowhere, you will want to make a lunch reservation ($10).   Although we will have chairs, you may also want to bring a lawn chair to have comfort.  Dress is semi casual, in other words, collared shirt and jeans are okay, but please no shorts.  We currently have over 60 candidates but have plenty of room for more.  This is the ABSOLUTE last chance to become a Scottish Rite Mason for $50.  Each candidate will receive a 200^th Anniversary pocket jewel on the day of the reunion from the Supreme Council.  The address is:  5230 N. Defiance Trail, Delphos, Ohio.  It is only an hour away from Toledo.  Watch for signs posted along the roadways as you get close.  Come on out and enjoy something quite different this reunion.  Call the office with any questions.

33rd

We all had a great time in Washington DC with the coronation of Robert Sickelbaugh & Jeremy Sharninghouse as our newest Illustrious 33^rd degree brethren.  It was announced at the Supreme Council that Brother William Markin (The Masonic Bulletin owner) has been selected to receive his 33^rd degree in Indianapolis, Indiana in August of 2015.  Congratulations to Brother Markin. 

Eaglesticks

You missed a great time in Zanesville on the 17^th.  Youngstown was the big winner this year although the competition was tight.  It was voted that we would return next year to Eaglesticks C.C.  This is an open event.  Invite your Masonic and Non-Masonic friends.  This is a highly rated golf course.  You should go next year.

OCD

A huge success at last weekend’s OCD in Perrysburg.  I can’t thank all of you who helped, including the committees, stage & sound and degree teams.  Everything from hotel reservations to dinners to planned events went as planned.  And it wouldn’t have happened with the help of so many.  We received a lot of compliments.  Thank you again.

Degrees

This Friday, during the Ohio Council of Deliberations, starting at 1:00p.m. the 10^th & 29^th degrees will be portrayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Common.  Everyone is invited.  Dress is coat and tie and don’t forget to bring your passport.

Honor Flight

Tonight the Flag City Honor Flight will be returning from Washington DC with our WWII vets at the Grand Aire Terminal at the Toledo Airport approximately 9:00p.m.  Take a little time to go out and greet our brave men and women who served for our great country.  Our own group of KSA’s will be on hand to welcome them home. 

 

OCD

OCD is coming to Toledo!  June 7 & 8 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Common.  The afternoon session will feature the 10^th & 29^th degrees.  All Scottish Rite Masons (including this year’s spring classes) are invited.  Degrees start at 1:00p.m.  

Grand Master's One Day Class

Saturday promises to be an exciting day.  160 new Masons will be initiated into Masonry from this area.  Your Scottish Rite will be portraying the 4^th degree immediately following the class.  Have a friend or family in mind?  If he is already a Mason, he can come over to the Scottish Rite table, bring his fee and we will handle the rest.  Call the office for more information.

On the Road

Tomorrow is the mini reunion in Sandusky Masonic Temple.  Come out and see your old friends and many new ones.  We have a number of new candidates.  You will recognize them.  Introduce yourself and welcome them into the Scottish Rite.  See you at 8:00A.M. for the free breakfast.  Degrees start at 9:00A.M.

On the Road Degrees

Only 9 days away from our On the Road Degrees in Sandusky Masonic Temple.  The date is April 20^th.  The time starts out with a FREE breakfast at 8:00AM.  Reservations are required though.  We want to have enough food for everyone.  Please contact the Valley with your reservation.  I will be accepting petitions right up to that morning, but I would appreciate it if you could send them in earlier.  It is nice to be prepared with a welcoming packet, etc.

 

Petitions

Getting a number of petitions for the April 20^th reunion in Sandusky and May 11^th Grand Master’s One Day Class at Stranahan.  There is always room for more.  Let’s make this one of the best spring reunions yet.  Let me know if you need a petition.

 

Scottish Rite Presentation

The KSA are presenting a presentation on the history, events and changes of the Valley of Toledo.  This will be preceded by a free Hobo Dinner starting at 6:00pm.  Let Gerry Richardson know if you are attending: 419-579-4154.  All Masons are invited.

I have 8 signed up officially for the March 2^nd Walleye Game now.  You will want to get your reservation in before all the tickets are gone.  Call the office today.

6 Valley Reunion

Check under “Upcoming Events” for information about a reunion in Cleveland this month.  It sounds like an exciting time.

One Day Class

The Grand Master’s One Day Class (including the Scottish Rite 4^th Degree) will be held on May 11^th at the Stranahan Theater.  Petitions are available on this website.  Candidates for Blue Lodge must be ready by April 1.  Petitions for Scottish Rite – Valley of Toledo will be available up to the of the portrayal.
